Cowboy candy
Cowboy candy is another name for candied jalapenos. It is basically, sliced jalapenos simmered and sweetened in a seasoned syrup.
Ingredients:

500 g Halafinio, Anaheim or any other meaty pepper

One cup of apple cider vinegar

A quarter cup of water

Three quarters of a cup of sugar

One teaspoon and a half of turmeric

A pinch of salt

You can add any seasoning you like of course
Preparation:

Cut the chilli peppers into rings, you can take out seeds or leave them (if you like it more spicy, then leave them).

In a small pot, mix all the liquids and spices, boil for a minute and reduce to a low heat until all the sugar has dissolved.

Add the peppers, make sure everything is covered with liquid, cook for 5-8 minutes and turn off the heat.

Let the liquid and peppers cool to room temperature and transfer to a jar.
